Cookie policy
How we use cookies — no tricks
Last updated: 2026-05-09
Cookies are small files your browser stores when you visit a site. Below we tell you exactly which ones we use, what for, and how to control them. Three upfront commitments: we don't use marketing cookies, we don't sell data, and we never assume consent you haven't given.
1.What cookies are (in plain language)
They are small text files a website can save in your browser to remember things: your language, your active session, your preferences. Some are technically necessary for the site to work; others are optional.
At Journee we use only the bare minimum. And we always ask before activating optional ones.
2.Cookies we use
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| journee_cookie_consent_v1 | Necessary | Stores your choice on the cookie banner so we don't ask again every visit. | 12 months |
| journee_session | Necessary | Keeps your session active while you craft your journey. | Session |
| journee_locale | Functional | Remembers your chosen language (ES/EN). | 6 months |
| plausible | Analytics | Plausible — privacy-first analytics with no individual tracking and no third-party transfer. | No cookies |
| journee_admin_session | Necessary (admin) | HMAC-signed token for internal admin access. Not present in traveler sessions. | Session |
What we do NOT use: marketing cookies, remarketing cookies, Facebook pixels, Google Ads tracking, social-network tracking cookies, or cookies that share your data with third parties for ad profiling.
3.How to control them
Cookie banner: on your first visit a banner appears with three options:
- Accept all: activates functional and analytics (necessary cookies are always on).
- Necessary only: activates only the strictly necessary cookies for the site to work.
- Customize: choose category by category what to activate.
Your choice is saved for 12 months. After that we ask again.
Change later: you can change your choice at any time from your browser (deleting the journee_cookie_consent_v1 cookie) or by writing to us at hola@perupremiumadventure.com.
Browser settings: every browser lets you block or delete cookies from its preferences. If you block everything, some Journee features may not work.
4.Legal compliance
This policy and our banner comply with:
- GDPR (Europe): explicit prior consent for non-essential cookies. Pre-ticked boxes prohibited.
- ePrivacy Directive: clear notice and equivalent options to accept and reject.
- CCPA/CPRA (California): "Do Not Sell" option available — we technically never sell data, but we honor the request preventively.
- LGPD (Brazil) and Law 29733 (Peru): principles analogous to GDPR.
5.Changes to this policy
If something important changes (for example, we add a new tool that uses cookies), we ask you again with an updated banner. The date at the top of this document always reflects the current version.
